Score line Eccles 0 – 85 Sedgley Park Where do you start with this? Well I’ll start with midweek I spoke with Eccles who stated they had a full team and wanted to play us! We arrived and they only had 10 children, I duly offered our services and said I would give them two lads to make it 12 a side but there coach said no thanks let’s play 10 a side so we did. We as ever started slowly? We really need to address this with a run of 3 very tough games around the corner. Rochdale 5 – 40 Sedgley Park Well what can we say about this fixture, it’s always a tough place to travel to and Rochdale always seem to be a well drilled hard side. The game started at a furious pace and both sides exchanged phases of play, Sedges ill-discipline saw us pegged back on our line time after time and eventually Rochdale went over in the corner for a well-earned try 5-0. This seemed to wake our boys up but we were still letting ourselves down back chatting to the man in the middle (in my opinion he got some things very wrong) but you have to respect him and we didn’t in phases and it cost us valuable yards. A spirited Macclesfield suffered another agonising defeat in National Two North as they were beaten by Sedgley Park 24-26.

A late penalty from replacement Joe Rowntree gave Otley a dramatic win over Sedgley Park.
The Legends took on the mighty 3rds & 4ths on the 29th Dec and came out victorious in a game played in front of a big crowd of all ages and sections of the club including EBBC, Claret & Gold and Mini and Juniors.
