It is that time of year again. Oh yes it is!! Your Panto cast have been busy in rehearsals getting ready for the 2023 Panto. This year we are doing Camelot on 3 nights. 2nd, 3rd and 4th February. Performances start at 7:30pm. Tickets are £15 and can be purchased from the website on https://sedgley-tigers.com/tickets/ Tickets do sell quickly, so book early to avoid disappointment.
I am sorry to have to inform everyone that today’s game against Chester has fallen foul of the weather. We left it as late as we could as the forecast suggested we might get some thawing later in the week. This was not to be. Whilst the game is off, the Festivities will be going ahead full swing. The “pre-match” Christmas Lunch will be going ahead at 1pm and we will have our resident singer, Rhys, on around 3:30pm. Players Christmas Party follows that, so things may get a bit raucous in fancy dress. Don’t forget your Christmas Shirt or Jumper. Come down and have a right festive romp.
On the 15th December, from 6:45pm – 7:30pm, our new Director of Rugby Development, Scott Barrow, has arranged for Jonny Rodham (1st XV Forwards Coach) to do a Scrum Clinic. This is aimed at all Senior Players (Men and Ladies) and Colts/Junior Colts. It would also be useful for any of the Junior Coaches who would like to get insight into the black art of scrummaging!! Might even help budding referees to listen in. Content will be on scrummaging safely, also to model coaching and practicing the correct techniques. It is suggested that anyone who has an interest in scrummaging attends this clinic. We will run a part 2 of forwards play and this will be around lineouts – lifting – mauling, in February.
The Club will be showing England’s last 16 Game against Senegal at 7pm on Sunday. Come down and enjoy the game on the big screens, with a pint.
