Sorry to have to inform everyone that our 1st XV away game at Hull Ionians has fallen foul of the weather. 2nd XV and 3rd XV games at home are also off. Sale FC have informed us that their pitch is unplayable, so the 4th XV Game is off.
The Claret & Gold Association are organising an away trip to Fylde, by Coach, on 4th March. This match could possibly be the League title decider or go a long way to deciding who wins the League. Why not go on the coach and support your team? If you want to be part of the travelling support, please contact Steve Chestney on steve@chestney.co.uk. Cost is likely to be £15 (depending upon numbers). More details nearer the time, but the coach is likely to leave at 11am and return at 6pm.
It is with great sadness that we have to report that Bob Grant passed away peacefully in December, last year. Bob was a member of Sedgley Park and a Lancashire RFU Council member for 5 years, before retiring in 2014. Bob is remembered with great warmth, especially by the older Members at Sedge and our thoughts and sympathies go out to his wife Ann and the family. There is going to be a Memorial Service for Bob on 27th January at St. Anne’s Church in Tottington, from 1pm. Everyone is welcome. RIP Bob.
