The Committee have looked into various ways of increasing income during the period of Lockdown and have reviewed the companies who are offering donations through online purchasing. The idea is that instead of going directly to your favourite online store (eg Amazon), you do it through a Club Portal. By doing this, the club gets a donation from every purchase you make. In this way, depending on the use, the club could potentially raise £1,000-£5,000 per year. We could certainly do with these funds at present.
So, how does this work? Sedley Park has an exclusive, online, portal. By accessing your favourite online shop through this portal and carrying out your purchase as normal, you will ensure that Sedgley Park receive a donation from the vendor (donation varies from Vendor to Vendor). Let’s take a favourite, Amazon, as an example. Simply go to the portal:
Find Amazon and click on “Shop Now”. This will take you to the Amazon website and you purchase as normal from the website. The only difference is that Amazon will donate upto 0.9% of your purchase to Sedgley park. That mean we get a pound for every £100 spent.
Is it safe? Yes. This is only a portal and all transactions are done on the Vendors actual site. Every purchase, from say Amazon, is as safe as if you had gone directly to Amazon.
What does it cost you? Nothing at all. You can buy products online for the same price you would normally pay and the club will receive a donation. The Vendors all want to support sports clubs so the cost is on their side. This is a great way of raising funds for the Club, without it costing our Members a penny.

There is a tally on the front page letting you know how much we have raised so far, starting today. It may take up to 2 weeks for the tally to be updated with your purchase as this needs to be confirmed by the Vendor.
