Members,
We hope your are keeping safe and are not going mad in this unprecedented time.
We are all aware by now that the Government has relaxed the COVID19 regulations with respect to Sport. The advice specifies that some sport facilities are now allowed to open and each club should make its own decision about when their facilities are ready to open and can be safely operated.
We did not make any decision immediately as we were waiting for advice from our governing body, the RFU. We have now received this advice. The RFU have instructed us that all formal group and team, Rugby related activities are still not permitted, due to the government social distancing rules. Based on this advice, your management team have decided to err on the side of caution because of the health implications. The Clubhouse, Gym and Bars will remain closed and the pitches cannot be used for formal training or matches.
However, if individual family groups wish to use the pitches for their own fitness and exercise, we are happy for you to do so. Please take responsibility for this yourselves and make sure you follow the current government Guidelines.
We are all keen to get back to Training, Socialising and Playing, so as soon as the government advice changes, we will update you on what this means for the club.
