It is with a great sadness that we have to report the passing of one of the Club’s greatest people, Rory Gildea, who left us earlier this week. All our thoughts are with the family and friends he left behind.
Rory certainly left the world a better place and everyone who met him is better for it. He was the life and soul of every gathering and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Whether this was as a family man, Rugby Player, Tourist or Club Member, he was a great friend to all and wonderful company.
There are way too many stories to be told here , but I am sure these will be told for years to come.
Louise and Scott have sent out the following message, which we reproduce here:
The Celebration of Rory Gildea’s life.
It is with great sadness, and a very heavy heart, that I am reaching out to all of my Dad’s Friends and Family – following his passing.
To help us arrange a celebration of life, that my Pops truly deserves, it would really help if you can provide me with your information and I can keep you informed of the arrangements.
Please also share this link with anyone you know, who knew our Dad.
If you have any favourite images of yourself with our Dad, please email them to us here – firstname.lastname@example.org
All our love, Louise & Scott.
